El privilegio de soñar / The Privilege of dreaming

Technological advances give us the sensation of controlling speed however we like, ando f being the masters of space.

Time, however, is the vital variable whose control is beyond our powers. Thanks to Einstein we know that we could stretch it to the infinite if we were able to propel bodies at the speed of light, which is obviously beyond our powers. Everyone´s individual time thus has an expiration date, and nothing can be done to avoid this except to engage our imagination and fight the only way man knows how: with his own dreams..

Los adelantos tecnológicos nos dan la sensación de dominar la velocidad a nuestro antojo y de ser los dueños del espacio.

El tiempo, sin embargo, es la variable vital cuyo control está fuera de nuestro alcance. Sabemos gracias a Einstein que podríamos alargarlo hasta el infinito si consiguiéramos lanzar los cuerpos a la velocidad de la luz, lo cual está obviamente lejos de nuestro alcance. El tiempo de cada uno, por tanto, tiene caducidad y nada puede hacerse por evitarlo, salvo poner en marcha la imaginación y combatirlo de la única manera que el hombre sabe, con sus propios sueños.
